After making sure her four kids are safe, the film opens with a scene in which a pregnant Molly Johnson shoots a stray bull that has wandered near her house. Soon after, the new district sergeant, Sergeant Klintoff, and his ill wife, Louisa, show up, asking to share some of the meat they smelled cooking. The couple had run out of food and supplies while trying to cross the river.

A modern-day computer programmer called Isaac begins a video journal after stumbling into a UFO and an alien on a trip in the woods. After being unconscious for three days, he comes to the sea. He figures out that his hallucinations are real.

The short film Three Minutes – A Lengthening shows a home movie shot by David Kurtz in a Jewish community in Poland in 1938 and strives to extend the film’s running time. Mostly shot in color, these three minutes of the film are all that remain of the Jewish community of Nasielsk before the Holocaust. The three minutes still available are dissected for clues to the narrative concealed in the celluloid. Using clever editing, the raw material was stretched to a running time of over an hour. The use of varied voices improves the visuals. David Kurtz’s grandson Glenn Kurtz explains the significance of the footage.

As a result, she withdraws from her fellow high school students and devotes her time instead to comforting lost souls who feel they have unfinished business on Earth. But everything changes when Capri, the head of the most exclusive clique at school, dies in a freak hair straightening accident, obviously canceling her upcoming “Sweet 17.”
