We have bad news for those anticipating Vampire Academy 2: it has been discontinued. Based on a best-selling book series, the movie was expected to be a great hit.
Vampire Academy Season 1 Release Date:
There is good news for the few lovers of the movie: filming of the series had begun in locations such as Pamplona, Olite, Viana and Zaragoza as early as September 2021. Julie Plec and Bile Woodruff, who directed the pilot, described the series as modern-day Bridgerton and Vampires.
The series production is still in its infancy stages, considering that If they make the TV series exactly like the books, they have the potential for six or seven seasons and a spinoff because the books have a spinoff series. However, there are hopes for season 1 dropping soon as the producers are set to test the waters hoping that it will go down like a storm. Late into 2022 would be a great time to expect a release. There is no official communication of the number of episodes to expect in a single but brace yourself for super packed action, romance and some terrifying scenes.
On September 15, 2022, Peacock broadcast the series’ première, which received largely favourable reviews.

Obviously, Plec has more than just a bit of history with the genre. It appears, like the bloodhound vampires she brings to the small screen, she has an unquenchable thirst to hang out with the undead. The storyline follows Rose Hathaway, a half-human half-vampire teenager who is a “bodyguard for her best friend Lissa, a Moroi Vampire Princess.
The duo was on the run before being taken back to St Vladimir’s, a boarding school where the young girls must survive a world of forbidden romances, a ruthless social scene and terrifying nighttime rituals. But most of all, stay alive. “Who’s not going to want to see that?” says the show’s executive producer and vampire series enthusiast, Julie Plec.

The series casting By Veronica Collins Rooney sees American actress Zoey Deutch (The Politician) portray rose Hathaway, the narrator and heroine of the Vampire Academy series. She is portrayed as a Dhampir guardian and the only daughter and child of the infamous Moroi, Ibrahim Abe Mazur and the well-known guardian Janine hatchway.
Other casts include Daniel Nieves, Jennifer Kirby, Alex Hafner (Now and Then), and Blake Patrick Anderson. The series sees a number of casts as new characters are introduced through the episodes.
Vampire Academy Season 1 Trailer:
After building a crescendo and tension through interviews where the crew gave sneak peeks of what to expect in Vampire Academy verbally, there is no official trailer of the to-be-released series yet. The trailer is already dropped as the show’s directors hinted at dropping season 1 on September 15.
