While still in high school, Tyler began his musical career. He began pursuing a solo musical career in 2007 and issued his debut EP album, No Phun Intended. He decided to start a band with his high school pals after playing solo for a while, and together with Chris Salih and Nick Thomas, he created Twenty One Pilots. The group was established in 2009.
