It’s been a week since the trailer of David Fincher’s film “Mank” was released. But if you want to catch a glimpse of Fincher’s Netflix movie, a secret website named “The White Wine Came Up With The Fish” has shown a 210-page slideshow of its behind-the-scenes pictures.
Along with this, unmute the website’s sound and enjoy the soundtrack of Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross’ “Mank” original score.
What’s the premise of “Mank”?
Mank is David’s most awaited return to film production after 2014’s “Gone Girl.” The script is written by Fincher’s father, Jack Fincher in the 1990s.
The story circles around the life of Hollywood screenwriter Herman J. Mankiewicz, who fights with director Orson Welles for 1941’s “Citizen Kane” during its production. The Oscar winner Gary Oldman features as Herman J. Mankiewicz. Alongside the supporting roles include Tom Burke as Orson Welles, Charles Dance as William Randolph Hearst, Amanda Seyfried as Marion Davies, Arliss Howard as Louis B. Mayer, Tom Pelphrey as Joseph L. Mankiewicz, and Lily Collins as Rita Alexander(Mank’s secretary).
What changes did Reznor and Ross make to their singing style for Mank?
Reznor and Ross have been best-known film musicians since “The Social Network,” winning an Oscar for Best Original Score.
The composers achieved so much praise for their “Girl with the Dragon Tattoo” and “Gone Girl” scores, but the duo had to change their synthesizer musical style for “Mank.” Reznor told in an interview that they would use the same musical instruments that were available in the 1930s to score the film.
I recently heard Mank’s track on “The White Wine Came Up With The Fish.” I felt that Reznor performed his promise very well.
We expect Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross to appear in the forthcoming Oscar for Best Original Score for their outstanding work on “Mank” or the Disney-Pixar animated show “Soul.”
