The Neighborhood series on CBS has had quite a good run, with over 80 episodes out and the show running for the sixth season. The show’s creators have landed another deal with CBS to develop the upcoming The Monroes and Tony series, which is slated for a 2023 release.
The dramedy, written by Malik S, will explore the lives of a blended family and the sacrifices they will have to make to co-exist. Three production companies will produce the show; Kapital Entertainment, Trill Tv, and CBS Studios.
The Monroes & Tony Season 1 Release Date:
CBS studios are yet to update us on when we should expect the Monroes series to be released. The show’s order was given in late 2021, and since it has been over a year without the series casting being released, it might be that not much development is going on with the series.
They are yet to update whether the series creators have finished writing, whether they are in the final stage, whether filming has started, or the filming location. So far, we know that Kapital Entertainment will partner with CBS studios to produce the series. The earliest you can expect the Monroes series to be released is by 2024
The Monroes & Tony Season 1 Plot:
Not so much is known about the plot of the Monroes and Tony series, but as described, it will be about a blended family forced to learn to live together. There is a nine-year-old stepson, a new wife, and an overly ambitious man.
The man finds it hard to correlate with his new wife due to the dame and the responsibilities of success. This series will highlight parenting for the Superstar ex-husband, how the child feels about his parents not being together, and the relationship between the new wife and the ex-husband.
The Monroes & Tony Season 1 Cast:
No casting announcements have been made by CBS so far regarding the show, but we will get the characters in due time. We know so far that the series production team is from the Neighborhood, a CBS sitcom that has been running for five seasons.
The writer and actor of The Neighborhood, Malik S will be the theories writer and executive producer, and he is expected to do an excellent job as he has done in his other series. He is also likely to produce the series alongside Kaplan of Kapital Entertainment, Trilling of Trill Tv, Cedric, Eric Rhone, Peter Principato, and Kevin Parke from Artists First.
