Netflix’s “Shadow and Bone” fantasy series was an instant hit when the book was first released. Based on the best-selling series by author Leigh Bardugo, commonly known as Grishaverse. Situated in Ravka’s fictional Kingdom, Jessie Mei Li discovers that a young woman named Alina Starkov has magical abilities. It permits her to summon light. Taken from her ordinary life as a military cartographer, Alina joins the Grisha team with different power groups. Moreover, she begins training as the savior of the world and gets rid of the Shadow Fold. The Shadow Fold is a huge area of the Ravka, covered in total darkness and full of monsters.
In addition, General Kerrigan (Ben Barnes), also called the Darkling, has the authority to create shadows. He has sought a long way to get rid of the Shadow Fold – until Alina has arrived.

With Mal and Alina on the Darkling Race, the stories from the first season will continue for season 2 of “Shadow and Bone.” In the first season, the two best friends head to a race to find the remainder of the magic amplifiers to prevent Darkling and give Alina sufficient power to rid herself of the Shadow Fold. Moreover, they will extend the world of “Shadow and Bone.” In Ravka and beyond, they will be introducing new places and new characters.
