Rising of the Shield Hero is among the most elite and inspiring anime shows written by Aneko Yugasi and produced by Kinema Citrus. The series is adapted from Manga, a Light Novel Series. The series premiered in January 2019 with 25 episodes, and due to its overwhelming reception, it got a rating of 8/10 on IMDB. Although the series has received a good share of criticism but not without its wins too. Asami Seto was nominated for the Crunchyroll Anime Awards as the Best Girl of the Raphtalia character.

In September 2019, the series was extended for two more seasons. The show creators have already announced the series renewal for season 3, but an exact date was not declared.
During a special stage event at Crunchyroll Expo 2019, The Rising Of The Shield Hero’s Third season was acknowledged to be in development. Even more, the Kadokawa producer stated at the Virtual Crunchyroll Expo 2020 that the anticipation for season 3 will not be too long.
The Rising of the Shield Hero Season 2 had only 13 episodes, compared to the run of the first season. This modification fueled rumors that the 2nd and 3rd seasons would run concurrently.

The series explores the tale of a guard bearer called Naofumi. Naofumi is believed to be the world’s splendid defender. He, however, loses human beings’ religion due to betrayal by his friends. To regain the faith and trust of the people, he needs to prove himself worthy. The rest of the season explores Naofumi as he works towards restoring this faith.
