Rebelde “rebel” was one of the most famous series from 2004 to 2006 as it ruled both the lives of tweens and teens. The series was a reboot of the Rebelde Way and Argentina Telenovela, which was just as popular as Rebelde. After Rebelde premiered, the RBD band was formed, which became famous, surpassing even the series itself. After close to 20 years, Netflix has chipped in much to The Rebelde fans to bring a series bigger and better than the first two. The Rebelde reboot is an attempt by Netflix to capitalize on the Nostalgia among the Rebelde fans and the film industry while also hoping to win over and create new fans among Gen Z. It has been less than a month since the first season was released, and fans cannot wait but want for more. However, will the series be renewed for the second season?
Rebelde Season 2 Release Date: When will it premiere?
There is no greater news than fans of the Rebelde getting an update of the series renewal on 9th January, only four days after the series premiered. Season 1 of the Mexican drama series was released on 5th January 2022, and it is right to assume that people are still watching it. The first season has eight episodes released entirely on the same day. The film has a rating of 98% on Rotten Tomatoes, but since watching is still in progress, it may either shoot or fall based on the audience voting and their preference. If the series filming starts in time, we may expect the second season just before the year ends.
Rebelde Season 2 Cast: Who will be in it?
We expect all the cast in Rebelde Season 1 to reprise their roles in the second season. Azul Guaita as Jana, Sergio Mayer Mori playing Esteban, Franceo Masini portraying Luka, Jeronimo Cantillo as Dixon, Lizeth Selene as Andi, Andrea Chaparro as MJ, Giovanna Grigio as Emilia, Alejandro Puente as Sebas and Estefania Villareal as Celina. We also expect the supporting cast to come back alongside new faces. It’s possible that Lukas’s father’s secret son will play a major role in the second season.

The cast and the crew of Rebelde are yet to give us spoilers ahead of the second season, but we expect it to pick up from where the first season ended. Season 1 ended with Lukas’s father having a secret son, and the second season’s plot will likely revolve around his lovechild, who remains anonymous. LA Logia’s secret was exposed in the first season, Sin Nombre won Battle of the Bands, and we can already tell that season 2 will be full of drama and amazing band performances.
