Suicide Squad in itself is a much-anticipated movie, and now HBO Max has ordered the eight episodes series spin-off of this film. Calling a spin-off before even the release of Suicide Squad shows how confident DC is about the movie.

Initially at Season 1, no other cast member has been announced other than John Cena. John Cena is playing Peacemaker, you better keep a close eye, or you won’t be able to watch him at all in the show. The makers have revealed not much about the character, but Cena called him “douchey Captain America,” now you can create an image in your mind.

First of all, it is a sign that the Suicide Squad is gonna be big! Second of all, we got to know that Cena delivered a scene-stealing performance in The Suicide Squad, and Warner Bros just can’t get over that. So they decided to give the guy his own series, cool!

James also tweeted about the movie’s name change, Suicide Squad on his twitter handle. He thanked Todd Seavey (Eternals) on his tweet.

James Gunn, who has a tight schedule nowadays, said that fans can get to know the Peacemaker‘s origin and why he is the way he is. They can decide for themselves if he is a hero or a douche bag but what is certain is that they are in for some laughter.
