Netflix is expanding its book to series adaptations, and adding to the list is One Day in December, a show based on the romance novel of the same name. The streamer is currently developing the show, and they have attached Lucy Boynton as the series protagonist. She will also execute the series alongside Joel Stillerman and Drake Doremus.

There is no release date for the season one premiere, and we have yet to determine how soon the series trailer will be available. The show is in its preproduction stage; they made scripts and casting updates. If filming begins this year, expect the series to be released by 2024. The standard number of episodes the show will also have yet to be determined, but we expect them to be between eight to ten.

One Day in December Season 1 Plot: What’s it About?

The plot revolves around Laurie, a woman who does not believe in love at first sight. She, however, gets to experience it when she catches a glimpse of an attractive man through a bus window. After the encounter, Laurie is convinced that the man is her soulmate, and she keeps looking for him to no avail. She stays aware of her surroundings for a couple of years without progressing until she runs into the man years later.

Eventually, fate brings the two together at the Christmas party, but to add to her misery, her soulmate is dating her best friend, Sarah. As the years go by, Laurie lives in denial, experiences heartaches miss chances, and reconsiders her destiny

One Day in December Season 1 Cast: Who’s on board?

Lucy Boynton is attached to One Day in December, and  the actress will also be executively producing the show alongside Drake Doremus and Joel Stillerman. Boynton has had quite a fixed schedule as she has featured in several series. Her most recent show is The Pale Blue Eyes, premiered on Netflix a while back. The film follows a detective who tries to solve a murder mystery with the help of a young assistant.

Currently, Boynton is the only cast attached to the upcoming series, but we hope that more casting updates will be made as the series progresses.

As of April 2023, One Day in December trailer is yet to be released and will not be coming out soon. The series is still in its preproduction stages, and filming is yet to start.
