No Game No Life Season 2 is an anime franchise localized in North America by several companies, including Seven Seas Entertainment, Sentai Filmworks, and Yen Press. This anime is a light novel series written by Yu Kamiya and published under the Bunko J imprint. Conceived during the serialization of ‘A Dark Rabbit Has Seven Lives,’ the author initially intended it to be a fantasy setting with games. Kamiya intended to have the anime as a manga series, but this was not possible due to some unavoidable circumstances. Hence, he settled for a light novel in place of the original idea.

As a result, Madhouse studio released a prequel to this anime, titled ‘No Game No Life: Zero. The prequel premiered on July 15, 2017. However, much is not known about the release of the anime’s continuation. As claimed by sources, the production of season 2 of No Game No Life is not complete. Nevertheless, the idea of season 2 coming out is still feasible, though the exact date is still not known. The estimate is that season 2 will be released sometime in 2022.
Even though there is a complete absence of confirmation about the movie’s continuity and no trailer of the next season, fans remain hopeful that there will be a sequel to this amazing anime. Owing to the positive reviews and feedback that the series has received over the years, Madhouse will be at a loss if it decides on its cancellation.
