New Shows on Netflix So Far in 2023

There are numerous returning original programs and many new titles you will love in the year 2023 on Netflix. There’s something for everyone, whether you’re a sucker for heartfelt comedies, an avid follower of adrenaline-pumping action series, or a fan of mind-bending science fiction. Hence, here are all the Netflix shows guaranteed to launch that year, from the return of Ginny & Georgia to the highly anticipated premiere of Outer Banks Season 3.

New seasons, however, bring exciting new storylines, the continuation of established storylines, the introduction of new characters, and a chance to reconnect with familiar faces and settings.

10. Bridgerton (2020-present)

Beautifully adapted from Julia Quinn’s novel, this story of a historical romance in competitive London society centers on the Bridgerton family. The first two seasons focused on the romantic lives of Daphne (Phoebe Dynevor) and Anthony Bridgerton, (Jonathan Bailey), the eldest children of the Bridgertons. Season 3 will center less on Benedict, the younger brother, and more on Penelope Featherington (Nicholas Coughlan) and Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton).

9. Shadow and Bone (2021-present)

Based on the Grishaverse novels by Leisha Bardugo, this famous Netflix fantasy series follows adolescent orphan Alina Starkov (Jessie Mei Lei), who learns she has the remarkable ability to conjure light and heal wounds. Having accepted her abilities, she must use them to counter the evil threatening her war-torn globe. On March 16, 2023, Shadow and Bone will return for its second season with eight all-new episodes.

8. Ginny and Georgia’ (2021-present)

In this American comedy-drama, a divorced mother and her two children move into a mansion in a wealthy suburb. This coming-of-age show charmed millions of viewers when it premiered in 2021, and many of them have since called for more seasons. The second season of this intriguing Netflix series will release on January 5, 2023, and will continue to examine the mother-daughter bond between Ginny (Anthonia Gentry) and Georgia (Brianne Howey).

7. Vikings: Valhalla (2022-present)

Vikings: Valhalla chronicles the struggles for survival and fame of historical figures such as Leif Eriksson (Sam Corlett), Freydis (Frida Gustavsson), and Harald Sigurdsson (Leo Suter). Season 2 of this epic program already aired on January 12, 2023, so fans won’t wait, just stream.

6. Never Ever I have (2020-Present)

Indian-American teen protagonist Devi (Maitreyi Ramakrishnan) wants to find “the one” and become a socialite at her elite private high school. Yet, she encounters numerous obstacles while trying to achieve her objectives. Having made it through a particularly trying year of high school, Devi is resolved to make it.

5. Outer Banks (2020-Present)

Based on the real story of the disappearance of the leader’s father, Outer Banks follows a group of island adolescents as they search for a hidden treasure. This adventure series, created by Josh Pate, Jonas Pate, and Shannon Burke, became popular after its April 2020 premiere.

4. The Witcher (2019-Present)

Adapted from the same-named book series by Andrzej Sapokwski, this supernatural fantasy show chronicles the exploits of the mighty witch hunter Geralt of Rivia as he goes on the quest for monsters and ultimately faces up against the scariest of them all: other human beings. Fans can’t wait to return to the wondrous world of chaotic sorcery, skillful monster slayers, imaginative animals, and captivating characters in the highly anticipated third season of this epic fantasy adventure, which is scheduled to premiere in the Summer of 2023.

3. All of Us Are Dead (2022- Present)

All of Us Are Dead is a Korean Drama of a group of teenagers who are stranded in their school during a zombie outbreak and must do what they can to stay alive among the vile undead. They are fighting for their lives in Hyosan, and if they don’t succeed, they might become one of the infected animals that are terrorizing the town. Many viewers of this horror show about zombies were pleased with the first season.

2. Emily in Paris (2020- Present)

In Emily in Paris, Lily Collins portrays an ambitious young American lady navigating her new profession, friendships, and active love life in Paris. Many fans are counting the days until they can again tune in to watch Emily’s romantic triangle unfold in Paris. Some viewers are asking whether and when Season 4 will be published after the cliffhanger finale of Season 3, which premiered in December 2022. But, it might not be accessible until the latter half of 2023 or the first half of 2024.

1. Firefly Lane (2021-Present)

In this American drama series, friends Kate (Sarah Chalke) and Tully (Katherine Heigl) have been together for thirty years, through the good and bad times. Many people have found comfort in this Netflix drama, which is based on a novel of the same name by Kristin Hannah.
