One great concept currently being examined in TV and film is how technology can change reality and people shortly. Whether it’s a comedic drama like “Upload” or “the invisible man” in 2020, the entertainment industry spends a great deal of time in science fiction, watching the unlimited scenarios of how technology can change this world for the better or worse. HBO Max ‘Made for Love’ series 2021 premiere on 1 April 2021 deals with a tech-free story, as the main character is trying to get a microchip out of her head in every way possible.
The show stars Cristin Milioti as Hazel, who seems happy and perfectly married to Billy Magnussen, the tech milliardaire Byron Gogol. When Hazel discovers that a Byron chip in her head has dictated her entire marriage, to watch her, to read her emotions, and mainly to control every aspect of her life, she wants her to. It’s not that easy, of course, as Byron still has the chip to keep them connected — at least for now, even when she escapes their home. The audiences and the critics appreciated “Made for Love,” and it won 90% ratings on Rotten Tomatoes. So it was no surprise that HBO Max renewed the series for a second season.
