The fifth series mainly focused on John Corbett, an undercover officer who can overcome any extent to catch the corrupt copper ‘H’ at the heart of the OCG. After some time, we realized that Corbett had connections to AC-12 chief Ted Hastings. In Northern Ireland, Anne-Marie, Corbett’s mom, was a police informer who had a relationship with Hastings. But in the end, OCG found Corbett’s true identity and cut his throat.
As we all know, a new character, Kelly Macdonald will appear (DCI Joanne Davidson) in season 6. So, we are expecting that AC-12 is going to investigate a new case in this series. Stay tuned to know what else will happen in the forthcoming season.
Mercurio has stated previously that he anticipates how the series will end, but it remains to be included if this is the same ending as the season six conclusion.
