Have you ever heard of the Knutby Murder? If not, I got you. In 2004, a nanny confessed to a web of killing that a pastor helped her execute. Daniel Linde was the first to be killed, followed by his employees and the Pastor’s wife, Alexandra Fossmo. The murders caused an uproar in both the media and the small village of Knutby, Sweden. Just like the real-life stories, the series follows the same plot as the infamous murder story. Knutby is based on Jonas Bonnier’s novel, telling the tale of the serial killer case that made history a decade ago. Will the series return for the second season?
Knutby Season 2 Release Date: When will it air?
Has the series been renewed for the second season? Invested fans can’t wait for the release of the second season, something that is not yet ascertained. Released on the 1st of November, the series premiered in Sweden. It was directed by Goran Kapetanovic, written by Fredrik Agetoft and Anna Platt the series was produced by the B-Reel production company. The crime series has six episodes, with the next episode expected to drop on the 29th of November 2021. The show has been rated a 7.2/10 on IMDb, and as far as rating counts, it did pretty well, and renewal could be expected. This will be confirmed once the official communication is out.
Knutby Season 2 Cast: Who will be in?
One of the many casts returning to reprise their roles is the nanny, Alba August (Anna). The award-winning has featured in most series such as The Legacy (2014-2017), and The Rain (2018-2020). Aliette plays Eva, Emilia Roosman as Mikaela, Einar Bredefeldt as Sindre, Amy Deasismont as Lilian, Joakim Sallquist as Olle Skoog, Nils Wetterholm as Johny, Jessica Liedberg as Ann-Britt, Joakim Lang as Peter Skoog, Stina Kvarnhem as Sara and Malin Persson as Irma. New casts could also feature in the second season of the series once it gets renewed.
Knutby Season 2 Plot: What will happen?
The plot revolves around the well-planned murders that occur in Knutby by people that you least expect. Anna is a young woman, naïve and gullible. She moves to Knutby, where she is a nanny and joins the church which is speculated to be cultic. The church at first seems legit and a community for righteous believers. There is, however, more to the just a church narrative that she once believed. Manipulation, brainwashing, and useless fanatics see to the murder of innocent people. Pious people, you would not expect to commit murder or even plan one, become the masterminds behind the eliminations in society. Like Jonas Bonnier explains in his book, the series is a mirror but an in-depth one of the book’s contents.
Knutby Season 2 Trailer: When will it be out?
The trailer of the second season of Knutby is yet to be released. We expect one once the series gets a green light and it is nearing its debut. The first season trailer shows the people worshipping and getting baptized. This, however, takes an unexpected turn when they see one of the individuals convulsing on the floor. The trailer raises the interest of the fans to watch the series that is already out. The trailer is now available on YouTube for streaming.
