It is epic news for fans of Harley Quinn as the animated series is making its way back to your screens. The single most excellent Batman adaptation in existence received a green light for the third season and air on HBO Max. The news came in a press release together with the moving of Young Justice, Doom Patrol, Stargirl, and Titans to HBO Max. It is pretty exciting to receive this news as the anticipation for the fifth season was palpable. Reportedly from the recent announcement, DC Universe is migrating from original scripted series and will transition entirely to comic book subscription service DC Universe Infinite.
Set to launch on January 21, 2021, with more than 24000 comic books and digital-first comics, DC Universe Infinite will provide exclusive access to DC Universe fan events and a stream of recently released comics six months after the comics first hit the store shelves. From now on, Harley Quinn will be a Max Original, and all the three seasons will be available for streaming. The first two seasons’ executive producer is Cuoco, along with Justin Halpern, Dean Lorey, Patrick Schumacker, and Sam Register.

The animated comedy follows Harley at the center of a satirical deconstruction of the Batman universe as she puts together a team of miscreants to assist her in achieving master criminal status after breaking up with the Joker. The group consists of Poison Ivy, the egotistical Doctor Psycho, the master thespian Clayface, the kind-hearted but violence-prone King Shark(The Suicide Squad), an elderly cyborg called Sy Borgman, and Frank the plant. Kaley Cuoco stars as the DC heroine. Alongside Cuoco, the show also stars the voices of Alan, Lake Bell (Medical Police), Ron Funches (BirdGirl), Jason Alexander, J.B. Smoove, and Tony Hale (The Mysterious Benedict Society).

This attempt involves the ensemble of her fellow goofballs and eccentric antiheroes such as Clayface and Dr. Shark. From the start, Ivy’s and Harley’s friendship was evident, even though season 1 laid some hint of there being more than just company.
Throughout season two, Harley finally realizes that her feelings towards Harley go beyond friendship. It is not until the ending of the second season that they finally admit their feelings towards each other and enter into a romantic relationship. Hopefully, season three will delve deeper into this newly formed relationship while exploring different aspects.

The fifth season of Harley Quinn’s trailer pays homage to the Joker film starring Joaquin Phoenix.
An animated version of the Joker can be seen dancing down the stairs in the video, precisely like Arthur Fleck from the 2020 film, played by Phoenix.
The segment was shared as a standalone clip on the series’ official Twitter account with the following caption: ‘Great. Next thing you know he’s going to be singing and dancing.’

With another season, this animated action comic TV series scored good ratings and reviews again. On IMDb, it scored 8.4/10; on Rotten Tomatoes, it scored 96% on Tomatometer and 85% on audience score.
