The eagerly awaited trailer for Dune finally dropped on 9 Wednesday, September 2020. The viewers ultimately get a glimpse of the world Arrakis and the giant sandworms that come with it. The show has its basis on the 1965 novel by Frank Herbert, who follows the 1984 original film and a 2000 television series. Dune’s focus is on the desert planet, and the spice mélange found on it- one of the most valuable resources. Denis Villeneuve, who is a common name in the sci-fi genre, directs the movie. Villeneuve also happens to be the person who directed Blade Runner 2049 and Arrival.
Denis Villeneuve, an Osar-award winning French Canadian director, already proved his expertise of thoughtful and grandly spectacular sci-fi through the direction of the two other shows. It is clear from the Dune trailer that he is taking things up a notch as this new adaptation of Frank Herbert’s Dune books seems iconic. But this is only the beginning. There is a sequel plan to bring the story to completion, and a TV series, Dune: The Sisterhood, with Villeneuve, also involved.
Dune Release Date : When will it Air?
Dune’s release will be on December 18, 2020, barring any delays brought on by the pandemic. From the trailer’s huge battle scenes and coverage, Dune is a space opera in the classic scene. Additionally, it is a rich, dense, complex story that centers on politics, religion, spirituality, ecology, and if humanity can evolve as it ventures further into the future.

Dune Trailer : What is it About?
The trailer not only sets up the heroic House Atreides, led by the noble Duke Leto and his son Paul, but also the Fremen of the desert planet Arrakis and the villainous House Harkonnen, dominated by Baron Vladimir. A life-extending and a mind-enhancing substance known as mélange enable those using it to traverse through space, making the directing of its production and distribution critical to exert control over the galaxy. The Emperor gives the Atreides family, led by Duke Leto, control over Arrakis.
The Emperor secretly plans with the rival Harkonnen clan to destroy the Atreides line to gain dominion over Arrakis.
Unexpected is the rise of Leto’s young son Paul, who has been trained as both a warrior and in specific paranormal disciplines by a secret female order known as Bebe Gesserit. Paul could be possessing the powers to make him the prophesized messiah who will lead the desert people of Arrakis into freedom and put them in control over the mélange and their destiny. The movie stars Timothee Chalamet playing Paul Atreides, heir to a dynasty of powerful space. In his space dad, Oscar Isaac, playing Duke Leto Atreides, stakes his clan’s future on a desert planet where space witches, space baddies, and enormous space worms clash in the wind-whipped glittering sand. Emmy-nominated Zendaya playing Chani also wanders in the dunes, a beguiling figure from the young hero’s space dreams.
