Roku just began production and airing of animated series with Doomlands first animated series, Doomlands making its debut on screens on 28th January 2022. What started just as a university project in 2014 got a huge reception and became a success story for Josh O’keefe. With the warm reception and success of Doomlands season 1, the showrunners have announced a second season for the animated series. Here is all you need to know about Doomlands season 2.
Doomlands Season 2 Release Date: When will it be aired?
The animated series just got renewed for season 2 at Roku. Season 1 premiered on 28th January 2022 and received a warm welcome from viewers. Doomlands creator Josh O’Keefe expressed his happiness for season 2 in a statement where he termed the series as a multiyear journey, and he was happy to find an audience for his show on the Roku channel. The showrunners and writer have not yet communicated an official release date, but a conservative approach makes it somewhere in 2023.
Doomlands Season 2 Plot: What should we expect?
Two buddies, Danny doom and Lhandi, together with a crew, make their way through a post-apocalyptic wasteland. Lhandi is an aspiring bartender and does her best in her ability to get the attention of others. She has a wide knowledge of the wasteland that creeps with danger in all corners and can see the dangers before it even arrives—dressed more like a stripper, she leads the crew through the wasteland in their mobile pub, The Oasis.
Yes, a mobile pub! As they traverse the land, Lhandi does exemplary work as a bartender at every stop they make. The official description of the season teased the likes of memory–stealing creeps, desert gangs and mean graffiti. The series is likely to pick up from where season 1 left off: Danny, Lhandi and the crew making their way through the creepy post-apocalyptic wasteland. Season 2 will have ten episodes, each with a runtime of about twenty-five minutes of the adventurous journey of the animated characters.
Doomlands Season 2 Cast: Who will be reappearing?
The cast featured in season 1 of the show will reprise their roles in the second season. Kayla Lorette will voice Lhandi, Rodger Brainbridge will be voicing Jep, Mark Little will voice Danny Doom, Ashley Holliday Tavares will voice Xanthena, Scott Farley will voice V, Josh Cruddas voicing Sterling and MP Cunningham voicing Connie D’ Homage.
It takes great effort to make an animated series a success, and the creator of the show and the producers dived to the right depths to source the best cast for the voicing and acting task. Judging from season 1, one can tell how perfectly the voice-over matches the animation’s characters’ reactions, gestures and movements.
Credits for the exemplary work are given to producers Josh Bowen, Josh O’keefe and Lee Porter. Other commendable persons credited for writing the script are Jan Caruana, Roger Brainbridge, Brandon Hackett, Mark Little and Kyala Lorette.
Doomlands Season 2 Trailer: Is there any trailer out?
Considering the series just got renewed for a second season, it would be too early to have a trailer already out. As fans would love to see sneak peeks of what Danny and Ilhand’s journey will be like in the second season, a trailer has not yet been released. Fans are urged to exercise patience while awaiting the trailer and official communication of the specific release date.
