Divinity Original Sin 2 Plot: What will happen?
In line with the previous game in 2014, Divinity Original Sin 2 is set in the wild, fictional land of Rivellon; however, the timeline has been speed up many centuries ahead. Therefore there is no definite relationship with the first series of the game, and no information from the first part is needed to be able to play the second. You are a ‘Sourceror’, a being that gets absolute power from the ‘Source’. The Source, a questionable material in Rivellon because it’s continued use results in convoking monsters called Voidwoken from different dimensions. When the powers are utilized, weird entities materialize and destroy everything in sight. The ruling fighters and inquisitors called Magisters have branded you a threat to the society.
Divinity Original Sin 2 Gameplay:
Play begins with your group of four at a maximum; you can also play alone. You get been sent off to the island jail in Fort Joy with a metal and gem collar for blocking off Source powers. However, the greater task lies ahead, thanks to your past. Discovering you are Godwoken, a demigod with the opportunity to transcend and succeed the seven gods under attack from the Voidwoken. This major plotline is presumed to last up to 70 hours before completion. Interestingly, there are no black and white lines in the game, you bounce off with your fellow Sourcerors on the one hand, and the antagonising Magister’s on the other hand. We are quickly introduced to a world where different people desperately try to do right but failing. Some Sourcerors turn crooked, while Magisters struggle with their actions and want to change the world.
Although detailed and enthralling, as the game avoids the stereotyped good against evil associated with RPGs. However there is a disadvantage in that the game is not thoroughly expansive enough. The many side quests, had some glitches where the game wouldn’t acknowledge that the required stages have been completed or inform where there is a missed or wronged stage. Also there where broken dialogue that neglected story changes to the game world.
