Demi Lovato is dropping a bombshell on US President Donald Trump with her new political anthem “Commander in Chief“.
After the hurdles in her personal life, she’s concentrating on political activities through her music. Demi Lovato has joined together with Billy Eilish’s brother Finneas to compose an anti-Donald Trump track “Commander in Chief”.
The singer shared a black and white selfie post on Instagram with some lyrics of the track and assured the viewers to perform at Billboard Music Awards.
The song was written by a team including Lovato, Finneas O’Connell, and singer Julia Michaels, who target Mr. Trump’s procedure to handle the Coronavirus pandemic, racial injustice, and his reaction to the social justice protests.
Although the President’s name is not in the lyrics, still, the track indicates the faults of Donald Trump, who is the Commander-in-Chief of the United States. The song mainly indicates two happenings, one is a black man, George Floyde, who died after a white police cop squatted on his neck for more than eight minutes, and the other is 210,000 Americans who died due to the COVID-19 crisis.
After the release of the song, Lovato encouraged people to vote. She also posted on Twitter, an official music video will be released tomorrow on October 15, and ending her post with a voting link.
Won’t give up, stand our ground… We’ll be in the streets while you’re #CommanderInChief. Video dropping tomorrow. ?https://t.co/ys7qrvUvoC pic.twitter.com/txzppHPVIt
