American Auto has been in development since august 2013. Tv show writer Justin Spitzer (Superstore), fresh from the successful outcome of the office, wanted to bring out a workplace comedy of his own but would instead be set in the upper–management world. With season two being a hit and leaving fans worldwide longing for a continuation, news for season two just hit the block.
But a little patience is asked of the fans. The writer seems not to have satisfied his thirst for delivering good content to television show enthusiasts after his shows Scrubs and Courting Alexin 2010 and 2006.

NBC has given the go-ahead for Season 2 of freshman light entertainment American Auto. Justin Spitzer (Scrubs, Superstore) is the deviser of the series, which premiered in December 2021. The last episode for the first season was televised over two months ago, so this announcement is surely a welcome one for fans of the sitcom.
The running time of each episode of the series American Auto ranges around 22 minutes. There is no update about the number of episodes in the second season of the series American Auto but grab some popcorn or your favorite snack.

At the nerve center of a major American automotive company in Detroit, a floundering group of executives tries to rediscover the company’s identity amid a rapidly changing industry. Completely out of place, Katherine Hastings, erstwhile CEO of a pharmaceutical company, juggles her leadership career when she joins the Detroit automobile manufacturer Payne Automobiles as CEO.
Hastings was not an obvious choice for the CEO position in an automobile company as she has no intrigue in or knowledge of automobiles. She doesn’t even know how to drive and holds a driving license that is not valid! Throughout the series, she stands out as the black sheep through her statements and decisions while in the company. Interestingly she is the first CEO who is not of the Payne family blood.

The official trailer of American auto has not arrived yet. Maybe it will soon be released after the announcement of the second season of the series. Watching season 1 should be on your to-watch list if you have not taken the time to watch the attention-grabbing show.
The other remedy now that the show is not yet out is to watch other series that fuse comedy and automobiles. The 2012 comedy fast n’ loud would be a good pick while awaiting the final release.
