The Xenomorph always comes back is one of the truths you should get acclimatized to by now. Ellen Ripley and the whole Alien universe was introduced to the world almost 3 decades ago, and till then, the series has heard a couple of remakes. A couple is never enough, and Noah Hawley (Fargo) is returning to our screens to develop Alien, a series from an alien Franchise. However, the upcoming show will not be your usual, and some of your favorite characters may not be there. Here is everything we know about the upcoming show.
Alien Season 1 Release Date:
There is no specific date for the upcoming series release, and unfortunately, we are yet to determine how soon the series will be available. The series announcement came in December 2021, and until 2023, there is little to no information as to when filming will start at the filming location and the number of episodes the upcoming series will have. 2023 seems more likely, and the series may launch just before the year ends.
Alien Season 1 Plot:
The series plot is still black and white, but one thing we are sure about is that Ripley will not be present. Ellen Ripley, one of the fictional characters of the Alien series franchise, will not be coming in the upcoming show as the series is set before she even existed. The series will also be set on earth and could talk about electricity being monopolized soon.
The series on earth could also mean that the aliens will finally reach earth, which should have benefits and consequences. Hailey, the showrunner, commented that the upcoming series will consist of the Weyland Corporation but will borrow some references from it. He also commented that the show will highlight societal inequalities yet to be solved.
Alien Season 1 Cast:
Fargo showrunner Noah Hawley will be starring as the showrunner of the Alien series. So far, we do not know whether he will also be starring as the series’ executive producer, but all of this will be revealed in due time. The series casting is also yet to be released, and so far, we have yet to determine the faces that will appear in the upcoming series. Some actors featured in Alien; Covenant will premier in the upcoming series. Since the series is set to start filming this year, expect names to trickle in just before the series production starts.
