Edward Berger has received quite the recognition based on his All Quiet on the Western Front, the Oscar-winning show. The director will team up with Netflix again for Simon Riske, a brand-new spy thriller based on a book of the same name by Simon Riske. The director will develop the series alongside Rowan Joffe, who will write the series’ scripts. One and See-Saw Films will co-produce the show with Brillstein Creative Partners as the upcoming series producers.
Simon Riske Season 1 Release Date: When will it release on Netflix?
As of April 2023, there is no specific release date for the series, and it is a high chance it will not be coming out anytime soon. Netflix has yet to confirm the number of episodes the upcoming series will have, but most likely, they will be between 6-10 with an approximate run time of one hour each. If the series starts in the summer of 2023, expect the show to be released in 2024.

The series plot is an adaptation of Simon Riske’s first book, The Take. The series focuses on Riske, the freelance industrial spy who lives a quiet life. He is slowly enjoying life in his auto garage when he is not working for the Banks or the British Secret Service insurance company. Taking little jobs has made him live a quiet, isolated life until he gets a job that changes his life.
Tino Coluzzi, the most feared gangster, is his next gangster, and maybe things could change for the better in terms of a lot of wards of cash as a prize, but he might also lose his life. The two were once brother-in-arms but fell out when Riske landed in prison, missing the death sentence Colluzi had put on his head.
A thief against a thief, a dangerous femme fetale, and perhaps the CIA is just the perfect plot you need.
Simon Riske Season 1 Cast: Who will be in?
As of April 2023, no cast members have been attached to the Riske project, and we are yet to determine who the series might feature. The series is still in its early developmental stages, explaining why the casting updates are yet to be made. Expect the series cast to be available once the scripts are done, and filming will soon commence. Berger will, however, acts as both the creator and director of the show, while Joffe will be writing the thriller scripts.
Simon Riske Season 1 Trailer: When can we watch it?
Unfortunately, a trailer for the Simon Riske series is yet to be released and will not come out anytime soon. The show received a straight-to-order only recently, and it is right to assume that the series is still in its active development stage. If filming starts earlier, you should expect to see the trailer or teaser before the year ends. If it starts later, the trailer might be available early next year.
