Fans get to catch a glimpse of Christopher Landon’s Freaky after dropping the trailer. The horror-comedy follows the story of a high school teen Millie Kessler played by Kathryn Newton. In her town’s renowned serial killer’s body, The Butcher, she wakes up after he tries to kill her with a mystical dagger. In the trailer, she informs the audience that she woke up in someone else’s body instead of ending up killed. Millie has only 24 hours to switch back to her real self.
Before that, she has to hunt down the bloody-hungry man masquerading around town as an ordinary high school girl: all in a male middle-aged killer’s body. The main problem is that the Butcher looks precisely like her. Additionally, he has brought his appetite for the carnage to homecoming.

This upcoming comedy slasher film is from a screenplay by Landon and Michael Kennedy. Christopher Landon, who also directs it, married the kill and thrills world with a time loop premise pushing the plot to hilarious. Production of a new horror film was spoken about earlier in August 2019 with Jason Blum serving as Producer under his Blumhouse Productions banner. Filming principally lasted for 35 days under the original title Freaky Friday the 13th. Landon debunked the rumors of Freaky being a reboot of Scream. He stated that the film is an original story inspired by Mary Rodgers’s Freaky Friday.
Freaky’s Cast : Who Do You Expect In?
Kathryn Newton of Blockers and HBO’s BIig Little Lies plays Millie Kessler, a 17-year-old disturbed high schooler who swaps bodies with a sociopathic serial killer. Newton starred in 2018’s Blockers recently and as Abigail in Big Little Lies. Vince Vaughn pays The Butcher, a serial killer famous for having never been caught.
Due to a mystical curse, he trades bodies with Millie. Millie’s ultra woke friend, Nyla, played by Celest O’Connor, also stars. Misha Osherovich plays Joshua, Millie’s friend, who is gay. Uriah Shelton plays Booker, Millie’s crush. The film also features Alan Ruck, Katie Finneran, and Dan Drori.
Freaky Release Date : When will it Air?
Blumhouse’s Freaky will premiere on November 13, 2020, by Universal. Meanwhile, it appears that the movie has already received a horror stamp of approval from the one and only Stephen King. He is confident that Vince Vaughn has to get nominated for an Academy Award based on Freaky’s trailer in his tweet.
