Uptown Bodega is an upcoming adult animation series set to release on HBO in the near future. The series is written by Oz Rodriguez, the Saturday Night Live creator, and it is set to explore the life of a woman who inherits a bodega. Rodriguez will be writing the series with Lemon Andersen, the creator of She’s Gotta Have it. The series announcement came in sometime in July; this is everything we know about the upcoming adult animation series.
Uptown Bodega Season 1 Release Date: When will it appear?
As of now, the release date of the Uptown Bodega series remains a mystery as the creators are yet to give updates on how soon the series will be available for streaming and are also yet to establish how many episodes the series will have or their run time. Still, all of this will be revealed in time. Since the series announcement came in mid this year, the possible timeframe of the first season is either by 2023 or 2024.
Uptown Bodega Season 1 Plot: What will happen?
Not so much is known of the series plot other than that the series will revolve around Tai Cruz and her father’s Bodega. Cruz inherits her father’s old Bodega, and she swears to keep the family tradition running. She comes up with ways and plans to keep the business booming in busy New York City. She, however, does not do this alone as she takes her husband, her three children, and the bodega cat. The upcoming series plot could explain more about why Tati inherited her father’s bodega, whether because her father died or he had decided he had had enough of owning the bodega. It could also highlight the changes now that the bodega is in different hands.
Uptown Bodega Season 1 Cast: Who will be in?
Unfortunately, HBO has not given any updates on the talents featured in the upcoming shows. We, however, know that Peter Murrieta will be acting as the series script supervisor. Murrieta is a known TV producer and has worked in many other shows, including Primo, Mr. Iglesias, and Wizard of Waverly Palace.
Oz Rodriguez, known for writing Saturday Night Live, will write the upcoming show and act as the executive producer alongside Greg Walter. Rodriguez has won an Emmy for the Saturday Night series, and with this in mind, the upcoming show will be a success. If Peacock announces the series casting lineup, then we will be sure to keep you updated.
