Mike Flanagan is known for some of the Best Horror series on Netflix, and news of him returning to adapt another horror series is refreshing. Flanagan’s new project, The Fall of House of Usher, is slated for a 2023 release date, and times cannot fly fast enough.
The upcoming series will be written, directed, and produced by Flanagan in collaboration with Intrepid Pictures. Intrepid Pictures has been behind all of Flanagan’s projects, and the series will undoubtedly be as good as the rest. The Fall of the House of Usher Season 1 Release Date: When Will it Premiere?
Unfortunately, a date has not yet been set for when we will see the first season of the Netflix show. The series was initially scheduled for December 2021 production, but this was later rescheduled. The initial production was to start on January 24th in Vancouver and wrap up in May, but this never came to be. Filming started much later than expected, and it wrapped up in July.
Bridge Studios, the studio behind Most of Mike Flanagan’s series, including the “Haunting of Bly Manor,” had filmed the series from when it started to its wrap. Since filming is already done and only post-production is left, if we are lucky, we might see the series before the year ends or early next year.
The Fall of the House of Usher Season 1 Plot: What will Happen?
The series is an adaptation of Allan Poe’s Novel of the same name, written in the 18th century. The book, however, had other tales inside and The Fall of The House of Usher falls under the title ‘Tales of the Grotesque and Arabesque”. The story is narrated by a man invited by Roderick Usher, one of his close childhood friends. Usher has a twin sister, who is long dead and is put in the family vault.
As a ritual, he checks whether the sister is still put and sees her lying lifeless where she is supposed to be. Things, however, take a different turn when the corpse that is supposed to be lifeless comes back to life. Petrified, the narrator leaves and runs for his life, but the house has other plans for him. The house splits and turns into the lake when all hell breaks loose.
The Fall of the House of Usher Season 1 Cast: Who is appearing in this series?
One of Mike Flanagan’s unique characteristics is working with the same cast in different projects. It will not be a surprise seeing most of the cast featured in Hill House and Midnight Mass in The Fall of the House of Usher. Carla Gugino, who played Old Jamie in the Bly Manor series, will feature in the upcoming series. Kate Siegel, who played Viola in Bly Manor, Zach Gilford, Annabeth Gish as Mrs. Dudley in the Old House(Bly Manor), Henry Thomas (Bly Manor), Samantha Sloyan (Midnight Mass). Other casts include Mary McDonnell, Mark Hamill, and Paola Nunez.
The Fall of the House of Usher Season 1 Trailer: When can we watch it?
