The series co-creator Dan Levy landed a deal with Hulu to develop the Standing By series, a comedy show that would take a satirical view of the guardian angels. Standing by Season 1 Plot: What should we expect?
The upcoming series is the complete opposite of the Schitt’s creek series. The latter was about a family whose earthly desires caught them in a chokehold, while the latter is a story about heavenly pursuits. The series is set on Earth, but it highlights angels who are stuck on earth. They have to look after humans and act as their guardians.
According to a logline released a while back, the upcoming show will take a satirical approach to the lives of individuals bound by disgruntled guardian angels. As guardians, they will have to learn lessons from the humans they are in charge of and a lesson or two about each other.
Standing by Season 1 Cast: Who will be in?
Dan Levy, the series creator, will also be starring in the Standing By series as Carey. Carey is the newly deceased loner in the group who is just getting started on the isolated form of living life. The isolated Newbie lives in New York and has no idea what he loves and what makes him happy.
Apart from the levy character, the series creator is yet to reveal the names of the other cast featured in the upcoming show. Levy will also be writing the series show alongside Ally Pankiw, who will act as the director. Pankiw has writing credits, including acting as the actor and the director of Someone Out There, the NBC Comedy series. We hope the series directors will update us on the other casts before the premiere.

The trailer for the Standing By series is yet to be released, and we are not sure how soon the series will be released. The series announcement was in 2021, and so far, we are yet to be informed whether the series went into development; therefore, predicting the series release date is impossible.
