As of March 2022, no news regarding the release date has been made available or leaked by Philly Chick pictures, except the statement that the series will launch in 2022. As of 2022, the series has revealed a limited cast. The cast is comprised of Brooke Lewis Bellas, David Alpay, Susan Lanier, Ricky Dean Logan and Noah Blake. They play Leilah Black, Alex Terzian, senator Sheila Larkin, father Stephen Bishop (Run The World) and Ethan Campbell, respectively.

The Red Room follows a group of individuals who are gathered together and forced to compete against each other in a free-for-all game where each individual’s sins are weighed against the other’s, and the one with the worst sins wins the game. Individuals are first abducted and then tortured psychologically on camera.
All this takes place in the furthest reaches of the dark web, where subscribers pay to watch and stream these activities via private links. Abducted victims are forced to participate in a game called live or die, where their sins against humanity determine their fate.
In these red rooms where the abducted victims fight for their lives, escape is only possible if one confesses their crimes and is deemed the evilest of the lot. The participants range from a senator to a clergy member as they try to outdo each other and win the title of the evilest person. A vote determines the winner by the paid subscribers who join via private links.

The individuals are shown to be tied to chairs where they try to reveal the darkest parts of themselves in a live stream. Individuals break down as they are forced to confront their evil actions, and some plead for mercy and release.
The trailer is themed Red, and the individuals are all streamed concurrently on an online platform. Only your worst sins can be your salvation in the red rooms, which is irresistible and ironic. It represents purification and a revelation of someone’s true identity.
