The series’ plot revolves around Professor William Devereaux, the English chairman at an underfunded college who tries to balance his personal and work life. He is undergoing a mid-life crisis, and despite all the dilemmas, he must do his best to keep the college afloat. His wife is not different; she also tries new ways to keep herself and her husband sane while still dealing with their teenage daughter.

Bob Odenkirk stars as William Henry Devereaux, the series protagonist, and professor at an underfunded fictional Railton college. Oden Kirk has starred in several series and played major roles as the series protagonist in Better Call Saul and Breaking Bad. His feature as the leading cast is all the evidence you need to ascertain that the Lucky Hank show is a masterpiece. He stars alongside Mireille Enos as Lily Devereaux, Cedric Yarbrough as Paul Rourke, Diedrich Nader as Tony, Olivia Scott as Julie Devereaux, Sara Amini as Meg Quigley, Suzanne Cryer as Gracie DuBois. The series trailer starts with students pointing out that the professor has not said anything in an hour and a half. The professor then rants that attending school is mediocrity and that being an adult is 80% misery. The mediocrity issue blows up, and tabloids are written about how the professor called all her students mediocre. Arguments, drama, parties, violence, and disagreements then ensue.
