Little boy series is a real-life story of the murder of the 11-year-old boy Rhys Hones who was found lifeless in Croxteth. The show focuses on the tumultuous journey the parents go to seek justice and closure for their son. The first season ended with the detectives concluding the murder case and charging Sean Mercer for killing the innocent boy.
Despite one of the witnesses changing their statements, the police still managed to charge the perpetrators. Despite Mercer being put behind bars with his crew, the family is too damaged to find relief in their sentence. We could not think of a potential plot for the second season, but if it gets renewed, then it could explore the perpetrators live behind lives and the lives of the parents now that the killers are in jail

Stephen Graham (Bodies) played Detective Superintendent Dave Kelly in the show’s first season. Other casts included Sinead Keenan as Melanie Jones, Brian F. O’Byrne as Steve Jones, Faye McKeever as Claire Olsssen, and Sonny Beya as The Little Boy Rhys Jones.
Michael Moran also played Kevin Moody, Nathan Clark Smith as Jordan Olssen, James Nelson-Royce as James Yates—Paddy Rowan as Sean Mercer, and Jack McCullen as Dean Kelly. We do not know if any other cast will reprise their roles since the series’ future remains unknown. The series did well, but we may never get the second show. If we do, then expect almost all of the cast to reprise their roles.

The series renewal updates are yet to be given, and a high chance is that the series will be renewed.
