Apple TV released a few banger shows in 2022, including See, Black Bird, Suspicion and many others. It also has many upcoming series expected to debut before the year, and one of the series is High Desert, The comedy show. Created by the two writing partners, Nancy Fichman and Jennifer Hoppe House, High Desert is a comedy series that Apple gave an order for in 2020. The series will tell the story of Peggy, a self-recovering addict whose interest in private investigation is driven by her mother’s death.
High Desert Season 1 Release Date: When should we expect it to release?
Two years since the show received a green light; Apple TV is yet to give us a specific date of when the comedy series will premiere. Apple gave the show the green light in September 2022, but until now, the show creators Nancy Fichman and Jennifer Hoppe House have yet to provide the series status update. It is unknown how many episodes the comedy show will have, but we know so far that they will be thirty minutes each. Three production companies will produce the show; AppleStudios, Red Hour Films and 3 Arts Entertainment. Since the show’s filming began in November 2021 in Long Beach, California, we should expect the show to be out in 2022.
High Desert Season 1 Plot: What is it all about?
The story follows the Life of Peggy and her transformation when she loses her mother. Peggy and her mother live in Yucca Valley, a desert town in California that does not get so many visitors. Her mother is her only closest relation and the only support she gets as a recovering addict. When Peggy’s mother dies, she is beyond devastated as she has lost her closest kin and her moral support in her recovery journey. Instead of moping around and falling back to her old ways, Peggy decides to be a private investigator, a life-changing contribution to society.
High Desert Season 1 Cast: Who’s gonna be in it?
The series cast features some of the best actors in Hollywood. One of the cast is Patricia Tiffany Arquette, a notable actress and activist featured in several movies and series like The Toy Story 4. She has won several awards, including both the Oscars and the Emmys. Arquette will feature Peggy, the recovering addict who decides to venture into Private Investigation. Matt Dillon, famous for “The House That Built Jack,” will also star in the series as Deny. Other main casts include Rupert’s friend –playing Guru Bob, Weruche Opia portraying Carol and Brad Garett starring as Bruce. Bernadette Peters, Christine Taylor, Carmine Giovinazzo, and Carlo Rota will form part of the recurring casts. In case the series brings in more casts, it will be updated.
High Desert Season 1 Trailer: Do we have a trailer?
The show’s trailer is yet to be released, and its release date remains a mystery. All we know is that the trailer will be out before the series premiere, and this could either be in late 2022 or early 2023. Apple TV, however, has numerous upcoming and old shows that you can binge on before the High Deserts Release Date. Shows to watch out for on Apple Tv include Surface, Bad Sisters, Five Days at Memorial and Amber Brown.
