Alexander the Great Season 1: Release Date, Cast, Plot, Spoiler, Trailer, And Important Details You Must Know

Netflix has been expanding its content diversity over the year, which explains the variety of hybrid docudramas that have been gaining popularity over the years. Some shows include Saving Venice, Age of Empires, Horrible Histories, and many others. Adding to the long list is Alexander the Great, the upcoming Netflix show.

We expect the series to provide the definitive history of the world’s most famous soldier and the kingdoms he conquered. We expect the show to be released sometime in 2023 to join the list of famous docudramas like the Age of Samurai: Battle for Japan. Here is everything we know about the upcoming series.

Alexander the Great Season 1 Plot: What will you Get to See in the Movie?

The series’ plot revolves around Alexander Great, one of the most prolific people in history. He was the Macedonian King who lived from 356 BC to 32 BC, inheriting the throne at the early age of only 20 years. He inherited the throne after his father’s assassination, vowing to do anything in his might to take down their enemies.

Alexander is renowned for engaging in fierce combat, and his victories against the Egyptians and the Persian kingdom allowed him to further his kingdom into India. Alexander is also recognised as one of the best military leaders, whose tactical judgement enabled his army to win so many battles.

Over the six episodes, the series will tell how Alexanders’ obsession with defeating mighty empires led him to conquer thousands of empires.

Alexander the Great Season 1 Release Date: When Will it be Out?

Unfortunately, the Alexander the Great series has no specific re-release date. However, it has been hinted that the series will premiere on Netflix sometime in 2023, but it has declined to comment on the release date. Filming started in Morocco in 2022 and was expected to wrap up in the late spring of 2023.

We expect the show to have six episodes, each with a run time of 45 minutes, each telling the story of the greatest commander in history. If everything goes as planned, expect to binge on the show before the year ends. The series will be available only on Netflix, and get a subscription just in case it is not available for Free plan users.

Alexander the Great Season 1 Cast: Who’s On Board?

About news on the cast for the TV show? No updates yet, but around 100 people were seen at the production site, so the selection process is ongoing. We don’t know the ethnicity of the protagonist or if they will be Greek. Stay tuned for more updates. Hugh Ballantyne will star as the series director alongside Tony Mitchell.

Alexander the Great Season 1 Trailer: What is it About?

The hybrid docudrama series does not yet have a trailer. We do not know just how soon the drama will be available. The show is, however, expected to release sometime in 2023, and we expect that Netflix will have released the show trailer or sneak peek before the series debuts.

The Streaming giant has yet to comment on whether the show will be coming out this year, and as much as we would love to see the series trailer this year, it may never come to pass. As we await the series release, Netflix has several docuseries that you may want to check out.
