T. J. Brady and Rasheed Newson commented that the series is a story that celebrates strengths and the love that comes with a black Family. They added that they stayed true to the earlier premise, which could only mean a thing; the story will follow closely on the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air plot but add a little twist to it. In the original series, we saw will smith leave the West Philly Islands to the Bel Air mansions, but in the new series, the story will start with him already in the mansion. Bel Air will shed more light on the conflicts, emotions untold, and biases that were not brought out in the 30 minutes Sitcom. Despite its retwist, it will still deliver the original show’s gloat.
