Exo’s D.O. will be released from the military as per covid-19 regulations.
On December 28 and, sm entertainment stated, “D.O. is currently on a final leave and discharge on January 25, 2021, without returning to the base. It is under instructions aimed to prevent the spread of covid-19. There will be no separate discharge event.”
The main vocalist of EXO, whose real name is Do Kyungsoo, has been announced to have returned from the military. According to the Korean media outlet, Sports Trend, on December 28, Monday, D.O. is currently on his last military leave and will be officially discharged from the military on January 25, 2021.

Before his enlistment, the idol-actor wrote to EXO-L (EXO’s fanbase) on their official fan club café Bubble, “I will come back safely and healthily as it was made after a long consideration.”
“I sincerely thank EXO-L for always supporting me,” he added, as he expressed his love and affection to them through the handwritten letter.
D.O.’s Military Life and Career:
D.O. discharge on July 1, this year, and for the past years, the male idol proved his diverse talents and skills aside from being a singer. He has served as a cook at the Air Defense Battalion of the Capital Mechanized Infantry Division, considering that he has a chef license.
In addition to this, he also made a welcoming appearance in a healthy state along with BtoB’sSungjae for a coronavirus safety campaign called #Proud challenge, hosted by the Military Manpower Administration last November.
D.O. made his premiere as an EXO member in 2012 and debuted under SM Entertainment. He is known for his singing prowess and best and most versatile singers in the K-pop industry after that.
Furthermore, he regards as one of the best “act dols” (acting idols) due to this stellar acting skills in the 2014 drama “It’s Okay, It’s Love,” and also made headlines as an actor through “100 Days My Prince,” movies “Along With the Gods” and “Swing Kids.”
D.O. will be the second EXO member to complete the mandatory service after Xiumin, continue various music activities, and act in 2021. He is slated to star in the upcoming film “The Moon” with veteran actor Sol Kyung Gyu.
