What’s new on Hulu in October 2022 !

Schitt will flood Hulu in October. After years of streaming exclusively on Netflix, the entire six seasons of the Emmy-winning series Schitt’s Creek will be available on Hulu beginning October 3. Schitt’s Creek may not be in the same league as The Office in fanatical rewatching, but the show’s good-natured humor is still relied on by many for their dose of dopamine, making it a bit of a deal.

In the same way, October is when streaming services like Hulu put up their jack-o’-lanterns in the form of new original horror movies. On October 7th, a remake of Clive Barker’s 1987 horror classic Hellraiser will hit theatres. After that, on October 10, you can watch the meme-inspired horror film Grimcutty. On October 24, you can watch the terrifying British movie The Matriarch (Oct. 21). Hulu will soon host the Blade films, the V/H/S/ series, Fright Night, Let Me In, and Antlers, among others.

All your favorite broadcast shows are returning for the fall season. Many of them, including Grey’s Anatomy, The Good Doctor, and many others, will be available on Hulu the day after they first air on television. Here is what we recommend streaming on Hulu in October of 2022.

10. Antlers (2021)

Director:Scott Cooper

Henry Chaisson, Nick Antosca, and Cooper. In the film, a teacher thinks one of her students has home life issues, but she has no idea that he is hiding a demonic possession at his residence.

9. The Good Doctor: Season 6 Premiere

Director:David Shore
Genre:Medical drama
Release Date:4 October 2022
Cast:Freddie Highmore, Nicholas Gonzalez, Antonia Thomas
Rotten Tomatoes Ratings:

Season 5 of the show ended with several highs and lows, the high point being Dr. Murphy (Freddie Highmore) and Lea Dilallo’s (Paige Spara) wedding on the hospital roof with their loved ones. Dr. Lim (Christina Chang) returns to the hospital to restock party supplies but, upon entering, discovers Nurse Dalisay Villanueva (Elfina Luk) stabbed and on the verge of death. Nurse Villanueva tries to alert Dr. Lim that her abusive ex-boyfriend stabbed her, but Dr. Lim is stabbed twice before she can act, leaving her life in danger with her friends nearby, who don’t seem to notice that she’s in trouble.

8. The Bachelorette: Complete Season 18

Director:Chris Harrison
Genre:Dating Game Show
Release Date:4 October 2022
Rotten Tomatoes Ratings:

On October 19, 2021, viewers were introduced to the newest season of The Bachelorette. Michelle Young, an elementary school educator from Woodbury, Minnesota, is the season’s featured character, and young is 28 years old. Shortly after filming wrapped on this season of The Bachelorette, Clayton Echard was chosen as the lead on the upcoming 26th season of The Bachelor. Even more interesting is that Young herself appeared in an episode that was ultimately cut from that season. Part one of the live finale featured not only Young but also Rodney Matthews.

7. Red Election: Complete Season 1

Director:Jill Robertson
Genre:Spy Drama
Release Date:2 October 2022

Red Election is a spy drama set in different countries worldwide. The first episode of the 10-component series debuted as a Viaplay Original on October 3, 2021. The series and cast announcements came out just as filming was wrapping up. In 2020, it had officially begun, but the COVID-19 pandemic forced its cancellation after only two weeks.

6. To Catch a Smuggler

Director:Christian Palladino
Release Date:9 October 2022

Rotten Tomatoes Ratings:

The documentary series To Catch a Smuggler follows U.S. Customs and Border Protection and Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents working at various airports across the country. Visa fraud, human trafficking, and other forms of illegality are all on the rise. On National Geographic Channel, you can watch To Catch a Smuggler.

5. Schitt’s Creek

Director:Eugene Levy, Daniel Levy
Genre:Sitcom, Satire
Release Date:3 October 2022
Cast:Eugene Levy, Catherine O’Hara, Daniel Levy
Rotten Tomatoes Ratings:

After years on Netflix, the comedy that will hear its name called all night at the 2020 Emmys, is now available exclusively on Hulu. Schitt’s Creek, the coziest show on television, ran from 2015 to 2020 on CBS and Pop TV and followed the Rose family as their fortune dwindled and they were forced to move to the small Ontario town of Schitt’s Creek. The show’s later seasons were a huge hit, and it broke Emmy records by taking home seven awards for comedy. Actors Dan Levy, Eugene Levy, Catherine O’Hara, and Annie Murphy all won Emmys for their roles in the show.

4. Hellraiser

Director:Clive Barker
Release Date:3 October 2022
Cast:Andrew Robinson, Clare Higgins
Rotten Tomatoes Ratings:

Hellraiser, a classic of the horror genre from 1987, is “reimagined” in some way for a modern audience. Is this the beginning? Does this have a sequel? Can we start over? Clive Barker’s Cenobites, a group of sadistic supernatural beings from another dimension led by horror icon Pinhead, are the focus of the Hellraiser franchise. The plot sounds like it will be very similar to the first movie: a woman opens a puzzle box and accidentally summons Pinhead and his gang.

3. Grimcutty

Director:John Ross
Release Date:10 October 2022
Cast:Sara Wolfkind, Shannyn Sossamon
Rotten Tomatoes Ratings:

This original horror film from Hulu continues the streaming service’s October 31st celebration of Halloween by making a familiar concept terrifying: parents who don’t get memes. That’s right, and you spotted a typo. Parents are worried about a new internet challenge called Grim Cutty because some participants have hurt themselves. The challenge has taken on a physical form and is actively harming children. Monster goes on a killing spree because his or her idiot parents don’t get it.

2. Rosaline

Director:Karen Maine
Genre:Romantic comedy
Release Date:14 October 2022
Cast:Kaitlyn Dever, Isabela Merced, Kyle Allen
Rotten Tomatoes Ratings:

Directed by Karen Maine and written by Scott Neustadter and Michael H. Weber, “Rosaline” is an upcoming American romantic comedy film. This hilarious and refreshingly original take on Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet is told from the perspective of Rosaline, Juliet’s sharp and idealistic cousin and a recent ex of Romeo’s. The protagonist’s quest to thwart the famous romance and win back her boyfriend ends a journey of self-discovery in which she ultimately works to reunite the star-crossed lovers.

1. Matriarch

Director:Ben Steiner
Release Date:24 October 2022
Cast:Jemima Rooper, Kate Dickie
Rotten Tomatoes Ratings:

This Halloween, you can watch another original horror film on Hulu. A family at a remote farm takes in a pregnant couple after they are involved in a car accident. It doesn’t take prolonged for the couple to notice that the farmer’s wife is showing an unhealthy preoccupation with their unborn child. A woman returns to her mother in a small English village after an overdose, but upon arrival, she discovers that neither she nor anyone else there seems quite right.
