Thicker Than Water Season 2

Crime shows with criminal protagonists are one thing, but where a completely innocent person gets all caught up in the crime is another. Most of the series go overboard with the scenarios, making the innocent party more guilty than the criminal. This is, however, not the case with Thicker Than Water, the new thriller on Netflix. The show revolves around a loving sister who has to help out his brother when he involves himself in bad company. The first season of the show was released a while back, and here is everything we know about the second season of the show.

Thicker Than Water Season 2 Release Date: When will it air?

As of April 2023, the show’s second season has no specific release date. Season one is yet to be renewed, and in case it is renewed, expect the second season to be out sometime in 2024. It could have the same number of episodes as the first season or more.

Thicker Than Water Season 2 Plot: What will Happen?

As the series title would suggest, Thicker Than Water is a series that revolves around all the sacrifices that family is willing to make to ensure one of their own does not rot in Jail. Fara is a journalist who has longed for a breakthrough in her career for as long as he can remember. However, something peculiar happens when she gets a once-in-a-lifetime chance to make her dream happen. They have to save their little brother from the crime lords’ mercies. What seems like having their brothers back soon enough leads the group to fall into a web of lies, deceit, crime, and a never-ending scheme

Thicker Than Water Season 2 Cast: Who will be in?

The Netflix Thicker than Water roster is attached with talented actors and comedians, including Nawell Madani as Fara, Kahina Carina as Souhila, and Paola Locatelli as Lina. Djebril Zonga, Vincent Rottiers, Radouan Leflahi, Paul Hamy, Carina Amarouche, and Mayane  Sarah El Blaze are cast alongside them. Madani has a background in humor and stand-up comedy, and therefore her appearance makes the series ten times more appealing. Unfortunately, we are yet to be given the casting updates for the show’s second season. We, however, expect Fara to be back, protecting her sibling as she tries to make it up the corporate ladder. We may also see new faces as the series plot expands, but these are speculations that will be confirmed in due time.

 Season 1 Review:

According to the Decider, Thicker than Water, unlike other shows, does not have far-fetched scenes making the series perfect for binging. It has originality and fluidly explains where Fara’s loyalty lies, not just because of cultural factors but because of her family history.

Thicker Than Water Season 2 Trailer: When can we watch it?

A trailer for the show’s second season is yet to be released; unfortunately, we do not know how soon the series trailer will be available. The first season is yet to be renewed, and if renewal updates come early, then there is a slim chance of seeing the series’ second season before the year ends. If renewal happens later in the year, expect a show trailer to be available either in 2024 or 2025, depending on the series creator’s preparedness. In the meantime, if you did not watch the show’s first season, you should do so on Netflix.

Though outrageously horrific, true crime shows have something equally compelling. Some YouTubers cover the same topics as the major broadcasting channels but with a few original twists, making YouTube a veritable gold mine of real crime footage. So if you’re seeking high-quality true crime content, watch the videos by Christina Randall and Kendall Rae; these channels are worthwhile.
