Julian Fellowes was born in the British landed gentry. It is only natural that he writes some of the best series that highlight the power struggles and how different living standards are for the upper and middle classes. His series Downtown Abbey was influenced by real-life experience as the father was an English Diplomat, but Fellowes mother never got the chance to be presented as a debutante.
His recent series, The Gilded Age, which was inspired by the event of the same name, was released earlier on HBO, and fans cannot wait for the second series. With an 80% rating on IMDB and a 7/10 on IMDB, is there a chance for the second season to be greenlit?
The Gilded Age Season 3 Release Date: When will it air?
If you enjoyed every bit of the Gilded age season one, from the epic backdrops to the heated politics in the 19th Century in New York, then we have good news for you. The series will be back, as Announced by HBO a while back and third season is renewed.
Julian Fellowes, the series creator, commented how they could not be more excited to start the journey of preparing for the second season. Gilded Age was first announced in 2019, and it took close to two years to be released. If the second series follows the same trend, we will see the third season in mid 2025.
The Gilded Age Season 3 Cast: Who will come back?
Since the series is coming back for the second season, it would be fitting to assume that Carrie Coon (Ghostbusters: Afterlife) will be coming back to play the series protagonist. Carrie Coon plays Rusell, the activist who believed in educating society about how fast time changes.
Morgan Spector plays George Rusell, Bertha’s husband, a robber presenting the new money. Louisa Jacobson plays Brook; the broke young woman forced to live with her aunt. Other main casts include Denee Benton, Taissa Farmiga, Harry Richardson, Blake Ritson, Thomas Cocquerel, Simon Jones, Jack Gilpin and Cynthia Nixon (RATCHED). Julian told Baranski that she could love to work with the actors; therefore, there is a possibility they will all return for a second season.
The Gilded Age Season 3 Plot: What should fans expect?
The series’ second plot remains a mystery, but we could speculate how it will go following how season one ended. The fact that the production team started working on the show even before it premiered for the first season is indication enough that we won’t have to wait an eternity for the show’s debut. But what happened in the first season?
In the first season, we witnessed the struggle of power between the old money family led by Christine Baranski and the new money entrepreneurs whom Bertha Rusell led. Marian Brook eventually learned how harsh the world is, and Peggy Scott tried to make it as a black female journalist. The second season could highlight Peggy’s journey to being one of the most acclaimed journalists in history.
The Gilded Age Season 3 Trailer: When will it be out?
So far, there is no announcement of when the second season trailer of Gilded Age will be released, and it is only logical that it will be out once the Season two premiere is near. If you enjoyed the series, then you should consider watching Bridgerton.
