ABC’s new drama series, The Company You Keep, starring and executive produced by Milo Ventimiglia, will not be renewed for a second season. The show, produced by 20th Television, did not perform as well as ABC’s other two midseasons 2023 entries. Will Trent, a fellow drama, has been renewed for a second season, while comedy Not Dead Yet is looking promising for a renewal.

Although it appears that ratings may have had a part in the decision, ABC’s cancellations were particularly tough this year, with even beloved shows like Big Sky and Alaska Daily facing the axe. As a result, ABC has decided not to renew the show after its first season, making the season 1 finale also serve as the series finale, unless another network decides to pick it up.

After a passionate and loving encounter, CIA agent Emma and con artist Charlie fall in love. However, they soon realize how different their lifestyles truly are. These two worlds clash as law enforcement officers and the criminal family attempt to capture the same people. Since The Company You Keep’s second season remains cancelled, let’s enjoy season 1 for now and stay tuned for the tenth and final episode of season one.
But if the season were to be renewed, our favorite characters would face their greatest challenges. Another network can pick up the show and bring it back to life, like with other shows, such as Manifest and Lucifer.

Additionally, William Fichtner plays Leo Nicoletti, a turned con man and former steelworker, in the movie.
Tim Chiou portrays David Hill, Emma’s brother, who is also an incumbent senator seeking reelection. Freda Foh Shen acts as Emma and David’s mother, Grace Hill, and James Saito portrays Joseph Hill, the head of the Hill family, in this movie. The siblings, Birdie Nicoletti and her brother, also own a pub together.
Sarah Wayne Callies plays Birdie Nicoletti’s character in the movie. Felisha Terrell stars as the Daphne Finch, the adversity to Charlie’s character. Polly Draper, as Fran Nicoletti, depicts the mother of Charlie and Birdie; interestingly, she is also a con artist, suggesting deception runs in the Nicoletti family.
