The Brothers Sun is a Netflix series set in Taiwan and Los Angeles and will feature all Asian writers’ rooms and all Asian cast. The eight-part series will be one of a kind action show upon its release. A mysterious sigma assassin appears in an alpha monopolized gangster town of Taiwan. Charles Sun is sent into a panic when the mysterious assassin gives him a heavy blow in life and kills his father. Charles is tasked with identifying the assassin and keeping the remaining family members safe. Danger larks in every corner, and the assassin may strike again anytime.
The Brothers Sun Season 1 Release Date: When will it be telecasted?
The Brothers Sun season 1 has been slated for release in 2023. There is no official communication from the showrunners yet about the specific release date of the television series. Movie series fanatics will have to hold their patience for a while as we await the official communication from Netflix and the show directors. A conservative guess with the information currently available would, however, with latest news the makers have an official date. The season one of the series is going to to be release on early January 4th of 2024 the window period for the release of the series.
The Brothers Sun Season 1 Plot: What should we expect?
The Brothers Sun follows the life of a Taipei gangster, Charles Sun, who chose the life of being a ruthless killer. He appears to be most feared in the gangster-infested town for his lethal ways of dealing with anyone who crosses his path. Charles Sun has a network of gangsters who operates secretly under his reign. His network of gangsters is strongly established that he feels untouchable until the most unexpected events happen; his father gets assassinated by a mysterious assassin.
Charles goes to great lengths to figure out the identity of the assassin who took his father’s life but first, he must protect the other family members; his mother and brother. He travels to Los Angeles to protect his mother and the utter unaware younger brother, Bruce. Things are hard when the reception he receives is not what he expected. The mother and brother had moved to Los Angeles to start a new life away from crime and now see him as an outcast. Charles finds himself torn between the hardened criminal life he was raised in and the life he could make for himself.
The Brothers Sun Season 1 Cast: Who will appear?
The series, directed by Kevin Tancharoen and Viet Nguyen, has several well-known actors who are well-versed in action movies and stunts. The likes of Justin Chien who plays Charles Sun, Better Call Saul‘s Sam Song Li plays Bruce Sun, Fear Of The Nights Highdee Kuan plays Alexis; John Lee plays TK, Michelle Yeoh plays Eileen, Madison Hu plays Grace, Rodney To plays Mark, Maite Garcia plays professor Edner, Jenny Yang plays Xing, Jon Xue Zhang plays Blood Boots, and Nina Yang plays party girl. Mikkel Bondesen, Brad Falchuk, John Radulovi and Byron Wu came together as the series producers.
The Brothers Sun Season 1 Trailer: Is there any trailer out?
As much as we would like to see Charles sun in action or sneak peeks of how dangerous he is as a crime boss and hardened criminal, we finally got the official trailer. Action television series will be disappointed at this news, but it will not be for long. Given that the series is slated for release in 2024, the series hit our screens earlier to give us a tease of what to expect in the series.
