If you watched The Wrong Missy on Netflix, you know that Lauren Lapkus is one unique, funny and witty character that deserves to premiere in all other comedy shows. If you did not, then CBS got you covered with the upcoming Sober Companions series, which she is expected to feature.

Written by Gracie Glassmeyer and David Rosenthal, travel companion is a series that will highlight the life of a drunken woman and her companion. The multi-camera comedy pilot was initially developed on Fox with an all-male leading cast, but the project did not make it past the pilot stage. Now that it has been retooled to cover all-female lead characters, we hope the series will be out soon.

Sober Companion Season 1 Release Date: When will it air?

We do not know when we will be able to binge on the Comedy show, but we’re hoping it will be soon enough. Sober Companion Season 1 Plot: What will happen?

The series will follow the life of Eliza, a woman struggling with Alcohol addiction. Despite being a hot mess alcoholic woman, she owns a book store cum bar with her uncle in New Orleans. Apart from being funny and quick-witted, Eliza has problems following rules, which also puts her in the spotlight. Her alcohol addiction gets too bad that the court is forced to allocate her a Sober Companion, Shelley.

To keep her from going back to irresponsible drinking, Shelley is ordered to stay with Eliza in the same house and be with her 24/7. Despite Shelley’s unconventional ways and overbearing enthusiasm, she manages to convince Eliza to stay sober, all while robbing her of her sanity.

Gracie Glasmeyer and David Rosenthal write the Sober Companion series. The cast announcement of the series came on the same day the series order on CBS was announced. Krysta Rodriguez, famous for casting in the Halston series, is expected to play Eliza, the alcoholic who owns a bookstore. Lauren Kapkus is scheduled to play Shelley, and the sober companion Eliza is assigned to keep her in check. Lapkus has acted in several shows, and her most famous role remains the wrong missy, a TV show on Netflix. She is naturally funny, and we hope the series will be as entertaining as announced.

Sober Companion Season 1 Trailer: When will it come?

As disappointing as it is, we will have to accept that a trailer for the series is yet to be released, and nobody is sure when we will see the series trailer. The series announcement came earlier this year, and it might be a while before we get a sneak peek of the two comedians.

Considering that the first attempt to bring the series to our screens in 2014 failed, it is normal to have anxiety concerning whether the series will be released. In the meantime, You can watch another series that Lauren Kapkus has featured. The Wrong Missy on Netflix is an excellent show to keep you in high spirits.
