The G.I. Joe movie franchise is getting a reboot in the form of a prequel focusing on Snake Eyes’ character. The movie will bring back to life the movie franchise after a long wait by fans for G.I. Joe 3 since the 2013 release of the second installment of the G.I. Joe: Retaliation. 

The movie’s star actor Henry Golding opined his view of the movie as digging deep into who Snake really is and what motivates him. The movie is going to the Snake Eyes’ start journey.

Snake Eyes will be produced by a host of companies, including MGM, Skydance, Entertainment One, among others. The movie is being produced by Jeff Waxman and directed by Robert Schwentke. The movie’s production started in January 2020, and there are talks already for a sequel after Snake Eyes is released.

As previously mentioned, Snake Eyes is a prequel that tells the origin story of a member of the G.I. Joe squad, a ninja named Snake Eyes. Although Snake Eyes was a leader of the G.I. Joe crew, he is an influential and important part of the team. The movie’s plot will most likely start with Snake Eyes’ journey in training and his relationship with Storm Shadow. It could also focus on a time when the Snake Eyes persona has been developed and tells the magnificent journey to the army.

There is no trailer for the upcoming movie yet because filming ended in February and the US went into lockdown almost immediately. We do hope that a trailer for the movie will be released very soon.
