Rihanna and Nicky Minaj support the Nigerians who are protesting against the SARS (Special Anti Robbery Squad). People started to protest against the organization when a video of officers of the Nigerian Police Force killing a man emerged. People all around the world are depicting their concern and supporting the end of SARS. After people started to raise their voices, Muhammadi Buhari, Nigerian President, announced that SARS would be disbanded. However, it hasn’t happened yet, and the violence is only increasing.  

A heart-wrenching event took place in Nigeria on Tuesday; Nigerian security forces opened fire on unarmed protesters, injuring many people, and several died! Bullets were fired on Tuesday as the government sought to end two weeks of marches against the brutality, and this is how it turned out! The atmosphere was filled with terror, and people were not feeling safe even in their homes. A Nigerian lady tweeted a picture of a bullet in her hand, a bullet that entered her room through the roof. When bullets enter the house, the walls are no more secure. 

After Seeing the heart-breaking incident, many celebrities have taken to social media to support the #EndSARS. Rihana tweeted addressing the situation; she said that she could not watch this much brutalization and torture which people are subjected to. Rihanna added that it is a betrayal, and now people have to protect their lives from the people who are entitled to protect them. She exclaimed that her heart is broken, and she is proud of all the brave Nigerians who are fighting for what’s right!  

Nicky Minaj also showed her support through Twitter. Minaj stated that all voices of the people who are fighting against this nonsense violence are being heard. She added that she stands and prays for the brave young Nigerians. We can see that many people are expressing their views and concerns about the country. Many are stating that it is a game over for Buhari, and he should step down.

Many other superstars also used their platform to speak out for the people. John Boyega, Burna Boy, and Davido also asked to end the violence in Nigeria. Burna Boy took it one step further and requested his followers to sign a petition to protect people from the Nigerian government. Other big celebrities, including Big Sean, Kanye West, Lil Baby, and Trey Songz, have also raised their voice against the violence and brutality.
