Watching someone die is a very traumatic experience that may forever be inscribed in the mind of a teenager. Based on the book “One of Us Is Lying” by McManus (bestselling author), the series is a story of four high school students who watch one of their friends breathe his last. Will the show be renewed for a second season? The series ends in suspense, leaving the fans on a cliffhanger. The production team should better prepare for this show’s second season. We’re left wondering who the blackmailer is, considering there is a list of potential candidates like Vanessa, the mean girl who loves prying into people’s businesses. The Mystery is developed by Erica Saleh, the author of “Wisdom of the Crowd” (2017-2018).

One Of Us Is Lying Release Date

There’s still a lot to be unraveled in this series, not to provide a sequel to the first season. Peacock premiered this show on 7th October 2021. It has a total of eight episodes. With the numerous positive reviews and a rating of 6.8/10 on IMDb, the future is promising; it might be renewed for the second season.

According to Variety, NBC Universal/Peacock revealed in January 2022 that One Of Us Is Lying had been renewed for a second season. Considering that the second installment is almost surely coming to Peacock, we anticipate it being available on Netflix soon after.

Along with the official statement, it was confirmed that Erica Saleh, who adapted the novel for television, will return as showrunner for season two, succeeding Daro Madron, who will remain as executive producer.

However, Peacock recently confirmed the continuation of One Of Us Is Lying for a second season. One Of Us Is Lying Season 2 is scheduled to be released before on Thursday, October 20, on Peacock.

For several future shows and seasons, Peacock provided release dates in June. The second season of the series will begin on October 20, 2022, according to the update.

One Of Us Is Lying Season 1 Recap: What happened in the previous season?

Five teenagers are sent to detention for having phones in class. When Addy cheats on Jake, Simon threatens to write this on his online gossip app. This has to be the worst mistake he has ever made as Jake plans his killing, which successfully goes through. Jake suggests that Simon take part in his plan to prank the four students he is in detention with. Unknown to Simon, Jake hides the pill supposed to save him from a severe allergic reaction.

The series takes a twist and turns of events as characters try to blackmail each other, some of them (Vanessa) fueled by the desire to revenge. As the list of suspects behind the murder of Simon grows, the four students have to do everything possible to prove they are innocent.

One Of Us Is Lying Season 2 Cast: Who expects back on screen?

Mark McKenna, who plays the role of Simon Kelleher, is the teenager who dies while in detention with the other four students. Without a doubt, the four teenagers who witness Simon die will be back for the second season of this show. They include Nate (Copper Van), Addy (Analisa Cochrane), Cooper Clay (Chibuikem Uche), and Bronwyn (Marian Tejada).

The supporting cast we expect to feature is; Vanessa (Resident Alien– Sara Thompson), Detective Wheeler (Jacque Drew), Maeve (Mellissa Collazo), Janae (Jessica McLeod), Keely (Zenia Marshall), and Kris (Karim Diane). Since the murder mystery involves all the main characters and their acquaintances, seeing them in the second season won’t come as a shock.
