Shang-Chi And the Legend of the Ten Rings

Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings is gonna be the MCU’s first Asian superhero movie in Phase 4. Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, we are gonna have to wait longer for the film to arrive. Words started to come out about the movie in 2018, and in 2019, it was officially unveiled at the Comic-con that Destin Daniel Cretton is directing the film. Marvel fans cannot afford to miss it as it’s gonna have some essential links to the previous Marvel movies. After so many delays and continuously pushing back the release date, filming of Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings is officially complete.

WE. ARE. WRAPPED.- Destin Daniel Cretton:

Cretton was kind enough to share his happiness with the fans who were eagerly waiting for updates on the film’s production. Cretton took to Instagram and posted an image of himself on the set of Shang-Chi in Sydney, Australia. The photo also includes his wife Nikki Chapman, Joy Cretton (sister), and the actor Zhang Meng. Cretton put “We are wrapped” as the caption, confirming the completion of filming.

We made a baby- Simu Liu:

A few hours after Cretton’s post, Simu Liu, star of the upcoming superhero film, also took the Instagram and posted a picture of him and the director with the caption- We made a baby!!! (Simu meant the movie!), He added we could not wait to introduce the baby to the whole world in 9 months…,

Shang-Chi Release date:

Initially, the film was supposed to land on 12th February 2021, but then it was pushed back to May 2021. Unfortunately, it couldn’t stick to May 2021 as Black Widow was delayed, so other Marvel’s Phase 4 movies had to be shifted. The filming began in February 2020, but it was halted after a few days as the director self-isolated himself as a precaution. It was stopped entirely in March when Disney shut down the production of all the movies. Filming resumed in August, and now Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings is slated to hit the screens on 9th July 2021, hoping that everything goes according to the plan from now on.

Shang-Chi will feature Mandarin!

Marvel has officially announced that Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings will feature the real Mandarin. Now, who is this real Mandarin? We remember that Ben Kingsley played the fake version of Supervillain, and then Tony Stark found out that he is just an actor named Trevor Slattery. Trevor was hired by Aldrich Killian, who was the main villain in Iron Man 3. There are hints that Killian is someway related to the real Mandarin, a world-class martial artist, controller of the ten rings. On 20th July at Comic-con, Marvel announced that Tony Leung, a Hong Kong action movie legend, will play the real Mandarin in Shang-Chi. Tony will join a promising cast, including Simu Liu, the superhero, and Awkwafina (Crazy Rich Asians).

He could take the place of Captain America!

Jim Starlin, the creator of Shang-Chi, said that this superhero is the resourceful weak link, and he could take the place of Captain America. Jim pointed out that he doesn’t have any superpowers, and he entirely depends on his martial arts. It is just a speculation of Jim Starlin that Shang-Chi could end up playing that role! What is your opinion on this? Could he take the place of Captain America?
