Lashana Lynch deleted her social media account because of the “abuse” and “attacks” she received after being cast as 007 in the upcoming James Bond Movie.

The upcoming film, No Time to Die, is Daniel Craig’s final turn as James Bond. There have been many talented actors who played James Bond. Before Daniel Craig, we had Sean Connery, Pierce Brosnan, Roger Moore, etc.

Thomas Sean Connery was the first actor who got the opportunity to play James Bond. Sean Connery recently passes away, and his wife, Micheline Roquebrune, told us that Sean had Dementia and his final wish was to pass away without any fuss. The Scottish actor had a net worth of $350 million.

Lashana Lynch has created history by becoming the first female 007 and also the first black person to play that role. However, not everyone was happy about the ground-breaking news. In an interview, Lashana revealed that she had been facing a lot of backlash from the James Bond Franchise fans since the casting was announced.

In No Time To Die, which is slated to hit the screens in April 2021, there is a scene in which M calls out 007; and walks in Lashana! Lashana is playing an agent named Nomi, and she is given the task of finding James Bond. Lashana stated that she perceives this opportunity as a step to confront the stereotypes around gender and race.

In an interview with Harper Bazar UK, Lashana stated that she is receiving this reaction because she is a black woman, and if it would have been some other black woman, the response would have been the same. She added that someone else would have faced the abuse and attacks, so she just keeps reminding herself that she is a part of a conversation, and she is also a part of something very revolutionary.

Since 2019, there were rumors that the Captain Marvel star would be the next 007, but everything is clear now, and our next 007 is Lashana Lynch. Lashana Lynch stated that she is “grateful” for the opportunity to now challenge the stereotype that 007 can only be a man.

Lashana added that toxic masculinity is slowly fading away as the women are being open, vocal and demanding, and not taking any misbehavior.
