Unlike traditional TV series, Vidal considers his project to be an eight-hour-long film consisting of eight parts. Mira is drawn to the project because of Vidal’s involvement and her admiration for Musidora, the original actress who played Irma Vep in the film ‘Les Vampires’.

As Vidal’s series progresses, he becomes increasingly overwhelmed by his own insecurities and the heavy responsibility of directing. Following an emotional breakdown on set, Vidal unexpectedly disappears, leading the producers to reach out to Herman Ray, the filmmaker who collaborated with Mira on ‘Doomsday.’ Herman happens to be Laurie’s (Mira’s former assistant and girlfriend) husband.
