Netflix is yet to give a specific date on when we should expect the series. The show’s first announcement came in 2017, and it has been five years waiting on the comedy series to be released without avail. In 2020, Adam Newacheck, the show director, said that the series was put on hold due to the confusion over the show’s tone. He then uploaded the unfinished versions of the comedy show on his Vimeo for fans to get acquainted with the format. However, on April 2021, Netflix announced that the show had gone back to post-production and that Netflix would be editing the series to fit their standards. We, therefore, expect the series to be produced anytime soon, 2023, to be more specific.

From the series title, you already know that there will be a guide teaching you ways to avoid the apocalypse. Vance is an authentic life Beret who served in the Special Forces, and the skills he gives are confirmed to be accurate and true. He will be playing a comic version of himself as he tries to live another day in various apocalyptic pandemics.
Some scenarios will include nuclear attacks, volcano eruptions, and zombieQ1 attacks. The series has been on the shelves for a long time, and at the moment, we are not sure if Netflix will go ahead with the initial storyline or if some episodes will be clipped out. From the episodes confirmed, there will be more pandemics than the ones mentioned above. There will also be a guide on surviving the Asteroids.

Netflix has already released the list of all the cast featuring the surviving the apocalypse series. Shawn Vance plays Vance, the beret with life skills on how to survive the apocalypse. Daril Fannin as Chuck, Louise Bond as Emily, Yasmine Aker as Jennifer, Jerry Trimble as Dockett, Jason Cermak as Chet, Elizabeth Bowen (Resident Alien) as Deb, Jerna Berman as Eden and Jason Burkart as Kieffer. Other casts include Rebecca Davis, Full Borg, and Kurt Braunohler.
Green Beret’s Guide to Surviving the Apocalypse Season 1 Trailer: When will it be out?
A video of the series was released on Vimeo in 2019, but since the series has gone back to post-production again, we do not know whether the already released clip counts as a trailer. The released trailer shows Vance, the beret who teaches his audiences skills to survive the pandemic.
The short trailer warns that the skills taught in the video are fundamental and extremely dangerous and should not be tried at home any time. You can check out the 21-minute clip on Youtube as we await the series release.
