Lukas Gage, as of late, posted a video recording of a Zoom meeting in which an anonymous director was caught offering a vilifying remark about his “Tiny apartment.”

The director who was caught scrutinizing actor Lukas Gage’s “small apartment” during a virtual audition has recognized himself.

A British director named Tristram Shapeero, whose credits incorporate Community, Parks and Recreation, New Girl, and Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt — as of late outed himself as the discovered person offering a vilifying remark about the 25-year-old actor’s home during a Zoom meeting.

When gotten some information about his comments days after Gage shared a clasp of the now-scandalous audition, Shapeero said the episode occurred. However, he accepts he “didn’t utter a word terrible” during the video phone call.

“I don’t have any conciliatory sentiment since I didn’t utter a word terrible. You need to look into the definition,” Shapeero, who apologized in the now-popular video of the audition, told the videographer, as indicated by film distributed on TMZ. “It was three months ago.”

Shapeero proceeded to state he intends to release an official assertion about his remarks, adding that “the context of which it was stated, and the setting of the implications of the words, should be appropriately assessed.”

A rep for Shapeero didn’t promptly react to PEOPLE’s solicitation for comment.

And On Friday, Gage posted a video recording of a Zoom meeting he was on with the then-anonymous director, composing on his Twitter and Instagram account, “PSA on the off chance that you—talking director make a point to mute—on zoom gatherings.”

In the recording, the Euphoria star remains in his apartment as he plans to understand lines. Shapeero — who thought he was on mute — can be heard telling someone else on the call, “These needy people live in these tiny apartments.”

“Like, I see his beside, and he has his TV and, you know—” Shapeero says before Gage slices him off to illuminate him that his mouthpiece is really “unmuted.”
