20th Century Studios is schedule to release the highly anticipated movie Deep Water. The movie, which was conceived in 2013, will be getting a release date of 2021. Based on the 1957 novel by Patricia Highwater, the erotic thriller is a good fit for the movie’s director, Adrian Lyne. It was adapted from the novel by Zack Helm and Sam Levinson. This movie will mark Adrian Lyne’s return to movie directing after a long hiatus of 19 years since his last movie, Unfaithful, in 2002. Lyne has a history with the directing of the erotic flick, with works such as Unfaithful, Indecent Proposal, 9½ Weeks under his belt. The movie, Deep Water, will be executive produced by Steven Zaillian and Arnon Milchan.
Deep Water Plot:
Deep Water focuses on a couple, Vic and Melinda Van Allen. The young and attractive married couple decides to play a deadly game; the mind games over one another take a dangerous turn when people surrounding them start turning up dead. The couple in a loveless marriage tries to delay their divorce by allowing each other to take lovers, but this becomes very messy as Highsmith in the novel exposes the surface lies and facade of the American suburban life.
Deep Water Cast:
The movie casts Justice league actor- Ben Affleck and No Time To Die actress- Ana de Armas as husband and wife, the young couple, Vic and Melinda Van Allen, respectively. Some other cast members for the movie include; Tracy Letts playing the role of Peter. Rachel Blanchard stars Ariadne, Lil Rel Howery stars as Nash, and Jacob Elordi plays Terry’s role.
Further cast includes:
Finn Wittrock (American Horror Story), Dash Mihok (Ray Donovan), Michael Scialabba (Doom Patrol), Jade Fernandez (FBI) and Kristen Connolly (House of Cards).
Deep Water Release Date:
The movie has been scheduled to premiere on August 13, 2021. Originally it was expected to release on November 13 of this year, 2020. Still, it could not be because of the global health condition, which resulted in a lockdown in many world regions.
