Imagine living an everyday life, then all of a sudden, a zombie outbreak occurs. You have to tread carefully while fearing for your life. With zombies around, you are being forced to go into hiding where you face other deranged people. Interesting, isn’t it? The show is about this and a lot more. Based on the book with the same name, the show was written by Jed Ellinoff and Scott Thomas. Released on the 15th October 2021, Day of The Dead is now on Syfy. With a total of ten episodes, only six are out and streaming on Syfy.
Day Of the Dead Season 2 Release Date:
Production of the series had delays as the initial budget was split into two. The creators had to rewrite the plot. The status of the series is yet to be confirmed, but we can speculate. Day of the dead season 2 might never see the light of day. It is receiving criticisms and negative feedback from the fans. The cancellation of the series has a higher chance than its renewal. The ratings of the show are also a sign that the show may be canceled for good. A 4.4/10 on IMDB? That only supports the fact that fans would not mind skipping it than they would mind streaming. These are only speculations as the official communication has not been made so far. If Day of The Dead gets renewed for the second season by chance, we expect it to premiere in late 2022 or mid-2023.
Day Of the Dead Season 2 Storyline:
The story is an adaptation of George Romero’s stories but with a bit of twist to it. Just like in every zombie film, The Zombies are prying on survivors who have to do everything possible to stay alive. Six people come together after a zombie outbreak occurs in the town they live in, Mawinhaken. They have to hatch a plan of how they will live for the first 24hours. The story incorporates both comedy and horror. It is not as satirical as most of Romero’s adaptations.
Day Of the Dead Season 2 Cast:
If the series gets renewed, we expect to see most casts returning to reprise their roles. Lorio Cardille, famous for her role in “Day of The Dead,” is Dr. Sarah Bowman, who investigates what could have led to the Zombie outbreak. We should expect to see the survivors. Keenan Tracy is Mc Dermott, the son of a police detective who loathes his town, Daniel Doheny as Luke Bowman, Natalie Malaika as Lauren Howell, Morgan Holmstrom as Sarah Blackwood, and Kristy Dawn as Amy, the towns doctor daughter. Terry Alexander plays John the pilot, Jarlath Conroy plays Bill McDermott (operating the radio), Sherman Howard as Bub, Richard liberty is Dr. Mathew (the group’s surgeon). Other supporting casts are John Amplas as Ted fisher, Anthony Dileo as Miguel Salazar (Sarah’s lover). George Ramero as Scarfed zombie, Gregory Nicotero as Johnson, Taso Stavriks as Juan Torrez
